They were the bikes that took the world by storm. Classic Motorcycle Mecca will be hosting its limited-time-only Evolution of Japanese Motorcycles display during this year’s Burt Munro Challenge.

The Evolution of Japanese Motorcycles will give visitors the chance to discover the bikes that set a new standard in innovation, technology and speed: from Yamaha to Suzuki, Honda to Kawasaki, and more. You won’t want to miss this stellar lineup of bikes that changed the face of modern motorcycling. Entry to the exhibit included in general admission to Classic Motorcycle Mecca.

Smack bang in the middle of Invercargill, local favourite cafe Meccaspresso will be serving up plenty of atmosphere with live music, outdoor dining and a special menu designed for hearty biker appetites. Big changes at Classic Motorcycle Mecca

With more than 300 of the most spectacular bikes in the world – think Britten and Brough Superior – New Zealand’s largest and most diverse classic motorcycle collection is bigger and better than ever.

A massive renovation has grown the collection, which now spans three floors and two buildings. Discover tributes to speedway legend Ivan Mauger and The World’s Fastest Indian Burt Munro, an extensive sidecar display, and don’t miss the 1600m2 George Begg Bunker – celebrating a homegrown hero and a golden age in Kiwi motorsport.
